Artefakt

An Archeological Circus Show

Overview:

Artefakt takes the audience on a juggling journey through many periods of history. The performance creates an unlikely yet beautiful connection between archaeology and the art of juggling. An impressive collection of extraordinary objects is used to perform a series of juggling tricks: fossilized 250-million-year-old dinosaur eggs, meteorites, a 20,000-year-old mammoth bone, crystals, volcanic lava, and petrified wood, along with historical juggling props crafted by pioneers in the juggling world.

Each artifact has a story to tell, and the performers share fascinating facts about each one, including their origin and place in the development of the world. These details help the audience connect with the skill on display as the objects are used in exciting circus tricks. The audience is also able to ask questions and directly interact with the performers during special moments throughout the show. A short workshop is incorporated into the performance, giving the audience an opportunity to try out some of the skills and tricks that have been demonstrated.

The performance tours with all the necessary equipment and can be staged in any room with enough space. No special lighting conditions or technical assistance are required, and multiple performances can be given on the same day.
