Reflex is a theatrical circus experience told through stories, performed in English, by juggler Jay Gilligan. These stories are from his 40-year career as he looks for his own place in the history of his craft, and while searching for meaning by throwing objects through space, he includes our universe in the juggling itself. Using varied object manipulation techniques ranging from the ancient to the avant garde, Jay creates stunning soundscapes and vivid images that stir the sense of cosmic connection within all of us. Reflex originally premiered Off-Broadway in New York City in 2022 and is a collaboration with Hideaway Circus and director Frodo Santini.

Technical Requirements: The show travels with its own lights, sound system, and technician and is self contained. Partial blackout of the venue is required.
Load in Time: 6 hours prior to showtime
Load out Time: 2 hours after the last audience member has left the room.
Price: 29,000kr + moms first performance, 21,000kr + moms each additional performance on the same day. Expenses for travel, accommodation, and per diems for 2 people will be added to the price. VAT is not added for VAT registered companies and organizations within the EU, outside of Sweden.

A school show version of Reflex
A school program for ages 10-16 that builds an unlikely but beautiful relationship between the ambition of human space exploration and the art of juggling throughout history.
Reflexion showcases juggling tricks created to represent different aspects of space exploration. Stories are told throughout the show to highlight historical milestones in space along with the evolution of juggling history. The show is performed in English suitable for the target age group. A study guide will be sent before the performance which introduces the key words and events referenced in the show, and includes suggested talking points and activities related to both space exploration and the circus art of juggling. The show has a modular and flexible set design which can be adjusted to fit most indoor spaces, and no full blackout is required.
